hey. not wanting to date a trans person because they’re trans is actually 100% transphobic. it’s not up for debate. nobody’s saying you have to date every trans person you meet, but let’s say you’re attracted to women, and you meet a cute girl and you hit it off, and you decide not to date her when you find out she’s trans: that’s transphobic! that’s not a preference!!!! you liked her before you found out she was trans!!! the real problem here is you’re not viewing trans women as women (or trans men as men). you’re viewing them as a different gender than their cisgender peers. that’s not okay. trans woman = 100% woman. trans man = 100% man. unlearn your transphobia. trans people are really cool ppl with a neat perspective on life and if you don’t wanna date us because you can’t get over your nasty preconceptions then it’s your loss tbh

Actually nah you’re being an asshole. There’s PLENTY of reasons not to date trans people:

* I want biological children and am very unlikely to get them with a trans person
* I am Not Attracted to trans bodies and it’s nothing to do with them as PEOPLE
* I am Not Attracted to those genitals and don’t find post-op work satisfying
* I don’t have the spoons/patience/etc to deal with Constant Medical Care
* I do not have the financial wherewithal to help in case of medical emergency
* I do not have the emotional bandwidth to deal with the social, economic, and medical load that comes with dating someone who is transgender
* I am not cool with hand-holding someone through a full medical transition
* I cannot handle; emotionally, physically, financially, etc; multiple surgeries and constant medical intervention as my own situation isn’t conducive to both/all partners involved being THAT out of commission THAT often.

Speaking as a trans male here… not everyone is down for that shit. And even in a ~perfect~ world post-transition where everything’s groovy… there’s still a lot of hinky shit that can go wrong and catastrophic failure IS a thing that happens. So just like not wanting to date a person with cancer or a chronic disease or disorder, no… not wanting to date a transperson is NOT fucking TRANSPHOBIC

Don’t be salty that your dating pool is smaller. Fish in different lakes kiddo.

Also consider this: No one owes you SHIT. That includes dates and partnerships

I continue wondering who exactly these memes think centrists actually are.

They seem to think that centrists automatically stabilize at the center of any two or more political positions they’re presented with at any given time.
The two or more points also always include some form of fascism and a very mundane opinion, for some reason.
