Another Cory story

Ok so here’s some more Cory antics:

So this dog is smart. Like really smart, and completely food motivated. The thing is he doesn’t always beg or do tricks to get extra food.

We came home one day and found an empty box of saltine crackers just lying on the floor. And we’re thinking ‘uh-oh, there’s gonna be a god awful mess’.

Well we found the sleeves of crackers…of what was left. But there wasn’t a mess. My dog had figuered out how to use his teeth and paws to opened up not just the box, but all the plastic sleeves JUST LIKE A HUMAN and pull the crackers out and eat them.

Another time Mom was in the kitchen and kept hearing this crinkling noise coming from the livingroom. And Mom being Mom yells out “Cory, what are you doing???”

She walks in and there’s Cory, a bag of those big puff peppermints at his feet. And he’s taking the individualy wrapped candy, sticking one in his mouth and somehow using his teeth to pop out the candy and then spitting out the wrappers.

Mom said his name again and he freezes…looks at her, then at the candy…then picks up a single piece, takes it over to her and places it in front of her and looks up at her like ‘I’ll share, Mom!’

Then looks at us like we’re crazy because we’re laughing so hard

Now there’s an offering to divert the wrath of the Gods if ever I saw one… 😀
