Sweden is so good at recycling it ran out of trash (x) | follow @the-future-now
It’s amazing what a culture can do when it puts people and the environment ahead of squeezing a few more pennies out of every dollar.
This is so important. Positive outcomes and techniques once shown to be effective can be repeated around the world creating a positive feed back loop. Let’s get stuck in Solarpunks
I stayed in the hall in stockholm university for 2 weeks and there’s SO many different recycling bins in the kitchen like 8/9 different ones for different things
I’ve like 7 different bins at home y’all.
For plastics, cardboard boxes, metals, food waste, otherwise burnable house waste (i.e usual trash), paper and glass (we do sort colored and see-through but my home container is for both).
Every few buildi gs in our area have access to their own “environment room” as we call them, so a recycling room. There’s also ones near places where people often come with cars, such as big grocery stores or gas stations.
