i saw hewwo in voice chat because

it either instantly aggros all allies or i get a returning chorus of “HEWWO??? AWE YOU THEWE?” from all cursed friends who are immune to the aggro effects of hewwo

either way it gets everyone’s attention immediately

“Hewwo?” Cantrip. Instant. Verbal component. Duration one minute, no concentration. Upon casting, everyone in hearing range rolls a will save. On a failed save they immediately become hostile to the caster. Anyone else with this cantrip does not need to make the save and can also cast Hewwo as a free action on everyone previously affected. Instead of repeating the will save, each person affected by the original Hewwo immediately gets advantage on melee attacks and strength checks, and disadvantage on concentration, ranged attacks, charisma checks, and dexterity checks for the duration.

Fantasy Guide: Common battle wounds and how to fix them

  • Arrow wounds: Now if the lung, heart, kidney, other major organ is hit, there may be little to do. The kidney has a back up, so maybe a skilled surgeon could save him, not exactly sure however. If hit by an arrow and not hit dangerously in an organ or artery, we can help. Firstly, DO NOT REMOVE arrow by yanking. Arrow must be worked from the skin by skilled hands. Once arrow is out, wash would with clean water/alchohol/herbal remedies. To heal slow, sew up wound and wrap in bandages. To speed it up, cauterise the wound with fire. It will hurt and patient pay pass out but now the arrow wound can heal faster. This works for crossbow bolts as well. On the gross side, arrows may be smeared with dirt or shit, so sepsis is a danger. This is how the great Richard the Lionheart died. Sometimes the mighty lion is killed by a shit arrow. But hey, shit happens. Arrow wounds take a couple of weeks to heal.
  • Sword slashes: if shallow, wash and bind up. May require stitches. If deeper, repeat process with more stitches and more bandages. Even if shallow, the cut must be washed using alcohol or clean water. May take a few days to weeks to heal depending on wound depth and severity.
  • Stab wound: Again don’t remove knife or object. If already removed, wash would and sew it up. You may need to cauterise. If guts, organs, brain, is falling out, there is nothing to do. This may take a couple of weeks to months to heal depending on wound.
  • Broken Bones: A break must be splinted with a board of wood and bandages. Slings can support arms and wrists. If your character breaks a leg, it may be worse. Breaks don’t heal great without modern medicine. Your character may have a limp or leg pain. In you’re are living in a hot climate, you’re pretty much fucked because infection sets in fast. These may take months to heal.

If you’re going a sword + sorcery route, don’t neglect the mental harm that experiencing this much pain and trauma would do to a person, even if the wound itself no longer exists. Just because there’s no physical evidence doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. 

Humanize your characters. Make it believable. And, if you must stretch dispension of disbelief, just make sure you’re not stretching it to the same degree every moment. If your audience is already along for the ride, you can get away with more, but only if they’re invested in your characters, not thinking of them as 2D cardboard cutouts.

so in 2007, there was a law passed that said if you have student loans
and you worked in public services & made student loan payments on time
for 10 years, you’d get loan forgiveness. fast forward to 2017, and guess what happens under this admin with Betsy Devos?

out of 30,000 public service applicants, the Devos/Trump team only forgave the loans of 96 people. imagine 10 years ago deciding to work in public service with shitty pay to pay off loans the govt promised they would and then 99% of applications get rejected. thats absolutely despicable. wtf.

Fuck them. I’ve got a few years of service filed under PSLF and I’m depending on it because do you have any fing clue how poorly nonprofit employees are paid? My starting job, in 2008, with a MSc, supervising other people at a museum gig was 25K/year.

Fuck DeVos, fuck every senator who confirmed her, and fuck Pence who broke the tie.

Because you know who took advantage of the PSLF program? Personally speaking, I know immigration lawyers, historians, teachers, librarians, and therapists—people who want to make a real difference in the world and help destroy the class divide that higher education strengthens.

The current administration knows this. They want to keep these people poor and broke.

i worked in energy assistance until we were shut down in 2015. i was looking forward to 2017. alas it wasn’t meant to be… for hardly anyone?! that’s super fucked y’all.

p.s. i make more as a janitor than i did helping people not freeze in winter. working for non profits is a drag, so you try to hold on to the good things about it. helping people was great. i miss that part. getting one’s student loans potentially forgiven was a HUGE thing to strive for. those 30k people got fucked.
